So I’ve been admining RPs for a while and for the longest time, queuing ads was the hugest pain in my derriere. Keeping your ad queue full is kind of the key to keeping those apps coming, but spending hours on queuing ads also takes you away from being an active player in your own group, which is a big key to keeping your current players active. It’s the admins dilemma.
Recently, I found my groove though and queued 84 ads (7 days worth!!) in 30 minutes, and was just like…
So this is how I did it and how I’ll forever queue ads unless someone has some tips/tricks to make it go by even faster. I hope this helps…

A (Somewhat) Comprehensive List of Possible Careers for Characters
There are several components that go into writing characters for a roleplay. In addition to a character’s age, history, and personality, their job (or lack of a job), career, and career aspirations are also a vital part of the character you are writing. While a job does not necessarily define a character, it can certainly affect their economic status, their lifestyle, everyday experiences, and outlook on life. It is important to choose a career that makes sense for your characters, to fit some of your characters in positions that compliment their personalities and interests, and sometimes to place your characters in a position that they absolutely loathe. It’s also vital to consider your character’s career, and what it realistically pays, when you want to place them in a certain setting or give them a certain lifestyle. (Someone that lives in a penthouse in New York City is definitely going to need the income to pay for it, for example.)
Now that we’re through with that long-winded introduction, here is a list of careers that you may find helpful, along with a few helpful links. Some of them are the typical careers you may see commonly used or spoken of, and some are a bit different, to give your characters an interesting career path.
As I mentioned before, I’ve been trying to do something different by working on some minimal style themes. I’ve got five of them already coded so I’m turning it into a series. I tried to keep all the normal customize options but colours are more limited. Please tell me what you think - too simple, too much going on, too complex?
Please save and refresh the customize page before making any customizations/change. Feel free to customize however much you want, the more the better, but leave credits intact. It would also be great if you could ‘like’ this post if using the theme. Please use Disqus to report any problems or errors (not customization questions) as you can comment as a guest.
Tutorial: slimScroll (simple, color-customizable scroll bars) for DIV layouts
Difficulty: Easy
Prerequisites: This tutorial requires only basic knowledge of HTML, but you need to know how to create and code layouts.
Intro: If you have ever encountered one of my layouts, you have probably noticed that I use different, colorful scroll bars; if you have not seen them before, you can check out the nifty scrollbars here. I was recently asked how to use those scroll bars in a layout, and then I decided that I may as well release the tutorial for everyone to use. Please note that I did not develop the slimScroll. I am merely creating a tutorial that is put in simpler terms—albeit slightly lengthy and verbose—and is more relevant to IMVU’s purposes. The original tutorial can be found here. All rights belong to Piotr Rochala @ http://rocha.la. Show some common courtesy and give credit to Rochala when using the slimScroll, please?
Example:
Notes:
This tutorial is divided into two sections: using the slimScroll on iFrames and then on DIVs. View the section that is more relevant to your needs. The iframe section can be found here [click].
You do NOT not need a Webs, Webstarts, Altervista, etc. account to use these scrollbars on DIVs.
As always, do not hesitate to contact me (GASR would be best) should you require any assistance with this tutorial or with anything in general. I hope more people can put this tutorial to good use. Thanks for reading! -TurtleTrainer
